In June 2019, after a successful marketing campaign led by the National Institute for Reproductive Health, New York City introduced that it’ll fund abortion protection in its fiscal year 2020 budget via a grant to the New York Abortion Access Fund. The $250,000 grant shall be administered by the fund and assist low-income folks in New York City can access abortion. More cities should observe New York’s example and provide public funding for abortion care.

93A, §2 prohibits “unfair or deceptive acts or practices within the conduct of any trade or commerce.” The definition of “act or practice” in the Attorney General’s “General Regulations” was amended in 1975 to include “any threat or try and carry out such act or apply.” See 940 C.M.R. §3.01. The Attorney General has additional declared that an act or practice is in violation of G.L. 93A, §2 whether it is oppressive or in any other case unconscionable the least bit.
